This is a pretty cheesy game based on the popular (and always fun to look through) children’s book. This translation of it to the NES though is pretty bad though. It’s far too pixilated to figure out who is who, and even if you can, the later levels vary from easy to super cheap. As I have noted before, finding Waldo in a sea of pixilated figures is extremely difficult if you have no clue what he looks like in the game. You are left making wild guesses at any pixelated blob that has some red and white on it. After you find the first Waldo though, it’s easy to find him again, perhaps to easy. And then there are some levels that are just retarded and have nothing to do with finding Waldo. Like the subway level where you try to get some items and go from one side to the other. The other stupid level is the Cave where you cant see anything at all and you must continuously look around for him. All you do is move you curser around and hope you hit him. Then the last level is pretty stupid and based allot on luck and not so much skill. This game has allot of shortcomings, but its still playable if only for a few moments. Its kind of funny to see how bad Waldo looks. |
