Rad Racer is the original 3rd person racing game on the NES. You can pick between a Ferrari, or a Formula 1 race car.

You zoom down the road avoiding slower cars, and staying on the road at all costs. You must get to each checkpoint before the time runs out until you get to the finish.

This game is pretty fun and also pretty hard. What kind of sucks though is that you can’t really see the big turns coming, so they usually catch you by surprise. And it’s also very annoying when cars cut you off and knock you into the trees on the side.

In some of the later races, you can’t afford to be knocked off the road at all. Other then this cheapness, this game is pretty entertaining to play for a while. Its a pretty fun game to pick up when your board.
